The Mt. Cobb VFW Post 6520 has achieved their new home. We were happy to help out with their fundraisers in 2011 and 2012 and we'll continue to do so in 2013. Come out for their annual chicken barbeque and their annual fun nite! Please help us support our local veterans.
We are also proud to be a part of Tents for Troops. For 2013, we have reserved 2 tent sites and 2 RV sites for active duty military (holiday weekends exempt). We are happy to offer those sites free of charge upon presentation of your military ID.
Nestled in the quiet hills of the Lake Region of Northeastern Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains, we began as a humble boat livery in the early 1900's. We gradually expanded to include tent and RV camping, pavilion rentals, and fishing tournaments. Today, our campground is a highly creative endeavor through which we paint experiences based on the tranquil countryside and the unique people who've composed around us.
While we are conveniently located just a few minutes from Interstate 84, our campground rests in a quiet, secluded setting on the shores of Lake Henry. The cities of Scranton, Honesdale, Carbondale and Hamlin are all within 30 minutes or less where you can find many popular attractions including The Steamtown National Historic Site and Stourbridge Line Rail Excursions, Glenmaura National Golf Course, The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees, Dickson City Crossings, Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs, Claws 'N' Paws Wild Animal Park, Varden Conservation Area, and the world's 2nd best hot-wings at the Windsor Inn. Explore our Links tab for more information on the area where we provide our version of concierge service for campers. We also provide many unique activities opportunities which are thoughtfully designed to further enhance your outdoor experience.
We are located in the southern part of Wayne County, Pennsylvania, which has more lakes than any other county in PA. The 310 acres of Lake Henry make it the second largest lake in the County and home to many popular species of fish, including large and small mouth bass, pickerel, perch, catfish, crappie, bluegills, and sunfish. Eagles and herons fish here regularly. Bring your PA fishing license and you can enjoy fishing Lake Henry too! But, unlike the birds, you must abide by seasonal dates for specific species of fish.
Need a concierge? Be sure to visit our Links page for loads of information on our park and the area. You can also find out about our policies before your visit. Review our Our Firewood Policy.
